I trained for my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London, during which time I worked as a trainee for three years on various placements across a number of London and Greater London boroughs (adult and older adult mental health, child and adolescent mental health, learning disability, physical health and neuro-rehabilitation settings). Following the completion of my clinical training in 2004 I worked in Oxfordshire, UK, for five years before moving to New Zealand to work at Waikato DHB in Adult Mental Health Services and subsequently as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist for Waikato DHB's Mental Health Service for Older People. I left my DHB role in early 2017 to move to full-time private practice.

I have also been involved in teaching on clinical psychology training courses (Oxford and Royal Holloway doctoral training courses; Waikato University clinical program) and in providing clinical supervision to trainees and other qualified clinical psychologists.
